Instrumentation and Equipment · measure
The unit the company grew from. It sells precision measuring instruments, equipment, metrology and meteorological technology for industry.
Company
AKRIBIS is the company as a whole: nine business units, twelve shared functions and AKRIBIS One, the offer that integrates them. This page tells how we got here and how we are organised.
What this folder holds
2003
The AKRIBIS company was constituted in 2003. The AKRIBIS unit, dedicated to measuring instruments and equipment for industry, appears in our records as the unit the company grew from. The records of those beginnings are few and do not always agree: we still need to reconstruct them from sources.
+8
Eight more specialisations joined: laboratory equipment, cold preservation, metrology, pharmaceutical engineering, regulatory affairs, automation, software and data, and remote monitoring. Along the way we built our own software, our own monitoring platform and our own calibration systems, and today we work with artificial intelligence every day.
TodayWe are here
Each specialisation brought its own systems, each good at its job. The challenge now is to make them work as a whole. And we learned that connecting systems is not enough unless we first define the company we want to be.
The records of the early years are few and do not always agree. When we have reconstructed from sources how each unit joined, this line will be filled in.

Sales, procurement, quality or technology are not repeated in every unit: they are shared. A new specialisation does not start from scratch, and the whole can work as one.
Quality as a function is not the same as quality management: that belongs to the whole company's management system.

Before changing anything, we look at it. We follow the processes end to end, from management to customer care, and the systems, documents and needs of each area. Every finding is recorded with its source and date. But that something works this way today does not prove it should stay so: the company that exists is not the specification of the company we want to be.

Each requirement of the standard has its place: context, leadership, planning and those that follow. Every decision is recorded with the options considered, its reasons and who approved it. Nothing is deleted: what changes is marked as superseded. We build it as a product, and AKRIBIS is its first user. Some parts are approved; others are still drafts.
It is not a certification: it is the structure we use to organise ourselves.

We consult them so as not to reinvent what has already been thought through.
The company as a whole: the organisation, its people, institutional information, partners, suppliers and other corporate matters.
Instrumentation and equipment. One of the nine business units, and the unit the company grew from.
A commercial offer that integrates every unit and is sold on its own. It is neither the parent brand nor the corporate entity.
AKRIBIS One brings selected products, services, technology and knowledge from the different units together in one integrated solution, contracted as a single offer. Each unit can still be contracted on its own.
